Cookie Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026. MtandaoLabsEdu uses a minimal set of cookies and local storage — no advertising or cross-site tracking.

What we store

• Strictly necessary: session / authentication cookies that keep you signed in, CSRF protection, and load-balancing cookies. The site cannot function without these.
• Preferences (local storage only): theme choice (mtanda-theme) and cookie-consent choice (mtanda-cookie-consent). Stored only in your browser, never sent to advertisers.
• What we do NOT use: no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell personal data.

Third-party services

Payment (M-Pesa / Daraja), email delivery (your school's SMTP provider), WhatsApp messaging, and optional Google Drive sync only run when a school configures them, inside the application — they do not add tracking cookies to the marketing site. See the Privacy Policy for the full processor list.

Managing cookies

Use the cookie banner to accept or reject optional storage (currently we only ask for preference storage — necessary session cookies always apply). You can change your choice any time by clearing site data in your browser, or by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer, which re-opens the banner. Blocking necessary cookies will sign you out.
